Perrigo in the UK

Perrigo entered the UK market in 2001 by acquiring Wrafton Laboratories Ltd, a big manufacturer of retailer own brand over-the-counter (OTC) products in the UK. Further acquisitions have helped strengthen Perrigo’s position in the UK, allowing us to offer a greater depth and breadth of capabilities. These include:

  • Galpharm Healthcare Ltd in 2008 - the UK’s biggest supplier of non-prescription medicines

  • Omega Pharma in 2015 - experts in branded consumer healthcare

The recent acquisition of Omega Pharma in 2015 has propelled our success even further by combining the respective strengths of the businesses. We are now one of the world’s largest, and the UK’s fastest growing major OTC manufacturer, and our expansion is set to continue.
