How we look after the planet

While self-care helps individual consumers improve their wellbeing, it’s also important to act as a sustainable over-the-counter (OTC) industry and look after the health of the planet. 

Perrigo recognises that the world is warming faster than we imagined and reducing greenhouse gas emissions has been a key component of our sustainability strategy. Five years ago, we set goals to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water and waste by 15% by 2020.  Energy reduction has been targeted within our own operations where we can drive the biggest change. We have reduced waste by a considerable amount and in 2018 achieved the goal of sending zero waste to landfill across all of our sites. 

Our targets for 2020-2025 will include continuing to work towards the Sustainable Development Goals, sourcing renewable energy and sustainable packaging.
